The model railway was developed over a period of 8 years using digital controls for the locos. The points were operated by switches on the control panel with LED's showing the direction of the points powered by switches on the point motors. Digital point accessory decoders have been installed to operate the 64 point motors. This has become affordable using kits supplied by the Model Electronic Railway Group http://www.merg.info .
Using the S88 track occupancy sensors trains can be operated automatically.
